R&D

SECAPEM is actively engaged in self funded Research and Development for related and adjacent technologies. Currently 20% of the company annual turnover is dedicated to R&D functions which include:

• Specialised containers and pods for external carriage on high performance combat aircraft from standard wing or fuselage carriage points - such as RVSM pods
• Research into Acoustic characteristics and the utilisation for pure research projects as well as applied technologies and simulation. SECAPEM work in partnership with ONERA and in collaboration with Universities
• Textiles and materials which includes the fabrication for high speed applications, durability and radar/laser reflectivity
• GPS technology for the application of reliable and accurate range indication and adaptation for calibration of sub-systems

The results from the R&D department are continuously utilised in the designs of SECAPEM equipment to provide enhanced performance, combat sensors and combat training systems.
